Our hostel in the beautiful city of Lübeck

The affordable alternative to a Youth Hostel or a hotel: individual rooms, kitchen and café.

Our Hostel Lübeck schickSAAL*, openend just recently in May 2019, can accommodate up to 47 people on 3 floors. With prices ranging from 19€ a night in the backpackers 10 bed dorm room up to 57€ per night for a private double room, we can find the perfect fit for everyone.

Our facilities

We renovated the whole house ourselves and have put great effort and our hearts into making every room special. In addition to the history of the building, this is what gives it its unique flair. There is no need for you to bring your own sleeping bag – bed linen is included in the price. Same goes for towles, if needed. Apart from the cosy rooms there are neat bathrooms, toilets and two kitchens. Those are well equipped so that you can prepare your own meals and meet the other guests. The kitchen on the ground floor also holds a book-exchange where you can swap your books with fellow travellers or sit and have a read. For those who do not wish to cook for themselves all the time we offer a delicious breakfast for a small penny in our café, everyday except Tuesdays.

Our café is open all day and from Thursday till Saturday you can hang out in our pub. This way your stay in Lübeck will become an extraordinary experience. Right in front of our doors you will find Lübeck’s most vibrant pub street with the four pubs “unklar”, “Blauer Engel”, “Professor Unrat” and “No. 12”. For this reason we installed sound-insulated windows so that you still get a good night sleep . If you take a look at our event calendar you will be well informed about upcoming concerts, readings and so on, so that you can adjust accordingly.

The surroundings of our hostel

The famous old town of Lübeck with its beautiful narrow alleys and inner courtyards as well as the well-known Christmas market of Lübeck are in walking distance of our hostel. Close by you can also find the hanseatic museum of Lübeck which is a perfect trip especially for rainy days. The “treibSAND” with diverse concerts as well as Lübeck´s music and congress hall “MUK” and the city theatre hall are just 2 minutes away from us. Also, for the numerous visitors of the Nordic film days in Lübeck our hostel is the perfect fit.
