DESCRIPTION:Ein Reisebericht von Christopher Wimmer 📣 \nSeit der Rojava-Revolution 2012 verkörpert die Region Nord- und Ostsyrien für linke Bewegungen weltweit die reale Möglichkeit einer besseren Gesellschaft: eine autonome Selbstverwaltung\, die auf den Werten Basisdemokratie\, Geschlechtergerechtigkeit und Ökologie beruht – und die der permanenten Bedrohung durch Syriens Machthaber Assad\, den sogenannten Islamischen Staat und das türkische Regime standhält. \nChristopher Wimmer hat mehrere Monate vor Ort verbracht und mit Menschen aus allen Teilen der Gesellschaft gesprochen. Aus kritisch-solidarischer Perspektive untersuchte er\, wie es um Anspruch und Wirklichkeit der revolutionären Gesellschaft bestellt ist\, und lässt anhand von zahlreichen Interviews ein vielstimmiges Bild des Alltagslebens\, der Hoffnungen und Probleme der Menschen entstehen. \nIm Rahmen der Veranstaltung wird er von seinen Gesprächen und Erlebnissen in Rojava berichten und einen tieferen Einblick in das dortige Alltagsgeschehen ermöglichen. \n📆 Donnerstag\, 01.08.2024\n🕕 Einlass 18:00 Uhr\, Beginn 18:30 Uhr\n📌 @schicksaal_kollektiv \nKommt vorbei\, bringt Freund*innen mit\, wir freuen uns auf euch!\n___________________________________________________ \nSince the Rojava Revolution in 2012\, the region of northern and eastern Syria has embodied the real possibility of a better society for left-wing movements worldwide: autonomous self-government based on the values of grassroots democracy\, gender equality and ecology – and which can withstand the constant threat from Syria’s ruler Assad\, the so-called Islamic State and the Turkish regime. \nChristopher Wimmer spent several months on the ground and spoke to people from all sections of society.
